Ghost Stories of Yellowstone

Although the majority of people are captivated by the beauty of Yellowstone, others are intrigued with the legends of the ghosts that lurk at night. Most of these stories consist of paranormal activity that has taken place within the park’s historical buildings. The building that holds the most legends is the Old Faithful Inn, particularly the story of the phantom bride. There are multiple theories regarding how the bride passed on her wedding day, ranging from bear attacks to gruesome murders (including decapacitation). Nonetheless, all of the stories’ endings remain the same with the bride’s spirit trapped looking for her lost groom for eternity. Many sightings have been recorded of a woman’s spirit wandering through the woods of Yellowstone at night, searching aimlessly for her love.

Another legend placed at the Old Faithful Inn, is the lady in Room 2. She has been sighted hovering over the beds of couples in the middle of the night. People have claimed to have woken up to the sight of her apparition floating above them, but it is unknown how the spirit of the woman originated there in the first place.
