Yellowstone Wildlife

Yellowstone National Park is an environment that offers some of the most diverse wildlife to be observed in the nation. Different species such as grizzly and black bears, bison, elk, wolves, and even trout are considered to be Yellowstone's “famous” animals. Even though these species of animals are most sought out to be observed in the park, there are still many different species to be seen. Bald eagles, beavers, pronghorns, foxes, and otters are just examples of the multitude of animals that can be discovered in this beautiful park.

Many laws have been passed to protect the wildlife of Yellowstone including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) which promotes the elimination of damage made to the environment, and the Clean Air Act which helps to protect the air quality in all units of the National Park System. Other laws have been instituted to help keep the water clean and protect endangered species to keep Yellowstone’s ecosystem alive and thriving.

Here at the Dreamcatcher we hope you will stay “Bear Aware” as you enjoy the beautiful mountains of Montana with us! Please, keep food items out of your Tipi!  And, be careful of wildlife on the road during your journey into the park and surrounding areas!
